FIVE week online rescue dog training COURSE
For new adopters of rescue dogs
A specially designed programme that focuses on building your bond with your new dog in the safety of your home. Classes are conducted over zoom, with a maximum class size of 6 so that your trainer can offer feedback as you work with your dog.
Classes consist of exercises and tasks to get the most out of your dog, and set you both up for success!
There will be Q&A sessions and a chance to connect with other owners of rescue dogs facing similar stresses and successes. Homework and class notes will be e-mailed to you after class and all sessions will take place on Zoom from the comfort of your own home and with minimal distractions!
The course costs £135 and includes a private 1-2-1 session to address anything specific to your new companion. Courses run throughout the year every 5-6 weeks so please get in touch to be kept updated with the new course dates as and when they are confirmed.
This specially created course includes:
Best practices when working with nervous or unsure rescues and how to keep your dog safe;
Contact cues like Touch, Middle and Heel Position to build your bond with your dog;
Impulse Control games and skills including wait, stay, leave it and engage/disengage to help deal with focus and distraction;
Polite greetings and calmness at the doorway;
Calmness, enrichment, confidence building, fun tricks, longline skills and recall tips.
